Untitled (Ribbons)
For the Hooks, Hangers, and Hinges Spring 2008 group exhibition.
I discovered that I loved the look of folded metal—something hard appearing as soft and malleable as silk. For this piece, I created a sort of metal curtain of ribbons, attaching found objects made from organic material (leaves, wood) to contrast with the manufactured quality of the steel ribbons.
