An Autumn Walk
In September 2009, when constructing a book with a "visual narrative," I decided to make a work that reflected the wonderful natural beauty of the Berkshires (a mountain range in western Massachusetts) in autumn. I walked from my house to the top of Stone Hill, behind the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA, and recorded my journey there with photographs and sketches, which I used as a basis for the images in this book.
Accordion fold with rice-paper-bound covers; sketches in graphite, pen, and acrylic.
